The following
text is from a little booklet, It Happened in '33'
that was printed in 1935 to explain the Holy Hour of
Reparation devotion which was granted an Imprimatur from
Cardinal Samuel Stritch in 1943.The Prayer Plans goal
was to consecrate personally every man, woman, boy and
girl in the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Catholics are usually wary
of new devotions; they are slow to accept them. THE
SOUL ASSURANCE PRAYER PLAN. . . is not a new
devotion it is merely a method of fostering a devotion
which has become deeply rooted in the hearts of
Catholics since the day of
St. Margaret Mary.
All Catholics know about devotion to the Sacred Heart of
Jesus, but many are at a loss when it comes to fostering
it in their own lives.

has from the beginning been intended as an aid for just
such Catholics. and a stimulus for the starting of this
devotion for all others
